Working on our mountain

We recently purchased acreage in Arkansas within the Ouachita National Forest, so this was the view looking at the mountains while our coffee was being prepared early Saturday morning. This was our second stay on the land and every time hate to load up and come back to Texas, some day soon though, God willing! During this trip, we were able to make more headway on the road and widen it especially since it’s such a steep start from the county road it’s been challenging. The dog in the pic is my sidekick Tiny, who loves spending time on the mountain as well. While my husband is preparing the road for gravel to be delivered and a new culvert placed at our entrance I spend my time focusing on where we are going to have our cabin, as well as the best location for the garden!
